The Elected Member for North Side to ask the Deputy Premier, the Honourable Minister of District Administration, Works, Lands and Agriculture

No. 1: To state –

  1. what level of mould was found in the North Side Civic Centre;
  2. what was the cost of the mould remediation;
  3. how was the tender process handled; and
  4. what was the amount of the bid of the unsuccessful bidder(s).

The Third Elected Member for George Town to ask the Honourable Minister of Health, Environment, Youth, Sports and Culture

No. 2: What is the status of the proposed Healthcare project proposed by Dr. Shetty, and is Government still committed to the venture.

The Third Elected Member for George Town to ask the Honourable Minister of Community Affairs, Gender and Housing

No. 3: How much has been spent by the Government on providing financial assistance, housing and food vouchers this fiscal year, and what is the current number and value of outstanding requests.

No. 4: What steps have the Government taken to prepare for the implementation in November, 2012 and November, 2013 of the Bill of Rights, Freedoms and Responsibilities contained in the Cayman Islands Constitution Order 2009.

No. 5: What is the Government’s timetable to address the outstanding matters currently preventing the implementation of all sections of the Cayman Islands Constitution Order 2009.

No. 6: What is the present estimated rate of unemployment in the Cayman Islands and how many persons are registered with the Department of Employment relations as seeking employment.

No. 7: How many Caymanians with the requisite legal qualifications are currently seeking articles of clerkship and of those, how many qualified at the Cayman Islands Law School and how many elsewhere.

No. 8: How many non-Caymanian Lawyers have been admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar since 1st January, 2005.

No 9: Has the Government secured the necessary financing for the $185,000,000.00 of approved borrowing in the 2010/2011 Budget and if so, from whom and on what terms.

No. 10: When will the construction on the new Clifton Hunter and John Gray campuses recommence and what is the projected date of completion of each.

The First Elected Member for Cayman Brac and Little Cayman to ask the Premier, the Honourable Minister of Finance, Tourism and Development

No. 11: To provide an update on the current status of derelict tourism properties specifically the Hyatt and the Divi Tiara Hotels.

No. 12: What is the progress on the Cruise Ship Redevelopment Project in George Town.

No. 13: Is Government still considering selling or leasing the Crown’s property, including the Queen’s Bottom (seabed), which will be utilized for the Cruise Ship Port Redevelopment Project in George Town, and if so, on what terms.

No. 14: Is the Government in negotiations with Joseph Imparato to develop a port facility in the district of East End, in particular, the High Rock area.

The Elected Member for East End to ask the Honourable Minister of Community Affairs, Gender and Housing

No. 1: What is the sale price for each of the three (3) different sizes of homes being offered to qualified purchasers by the National Housing Development Trust as part of its Affordable Housing, broken down by District.

No. 2: What is the long term plan for the original homes built and now being maintained by the National Housing Development Trust.

No. 3: To give a progress report on construction schedules of the National Housing Development Trust Affordable Housing being offered in each district.

No. 4: To give the numbers of completed projects by district for each of the four (4) schemes being offered by the National Housing Development Trust.

No. 5: To say what obligations/requirements of the Cayman Islands Constitution Order (2009) remain to be fulfilled/implemented, particularly with regard to enabling legislation.

No. 6: Is the Government collecting all of the deferred payments and customs duties as they become payable in accordance with the terms of various agreements made from time to time between Government and certain property developers and/or entrepreneurs and/or other persons or entities.

No. 7: Is the Government considering further reductions in the salaries and/or benefits of public servants.

The Honourable Leader of the Opposition, the First Elected Member for George Town to ask the Premier, the Honourable Minister of Finance, Tourism and Development

No. 8: When was the last actuarial review done for the Public Service Pensions Plan.

No. 9: Will the Environmental Impact Assessment which was recently completed for the Port Project in George Town be tabled in the Legislative Assembly.

No. 10: To give an update on the Tourism Apprenticeship Programme.

No. 11: To provide the Budget year end actuals for the year ending June 30, 2010, compared to the approved budget projections, i.e. capital expenditure, operational expenditure and income, and surplus/deficit figures.

No. 12: To provide the year end actual figures compared to the approved projected figures for Government’s new revenue measures approved in the 2009/10 Annual Plan and Estimates.

No. 13: Does the Government intend to table the results of the review of the Legal Aid System in the Cayman Islands. If so, when.

No. 14:
(a) What is the Government’s policy regarding assistance to church organizations and other non-Government organisations in relation to upgrading new or existing buildings to require hurricane standards; and

  1. To list those organizations who have benefited from this policy and the level of assistance given to each one.

The Second Elected Member for Bodden Town to ask the Deputy Premier, the Honourable Minister of District Administration, Works, Lands and Agriculture

No. 15: What is the Government’s plan for the existing Government Administration Building (Glass House) once the new building is completed.

No. 16: To give an update on the progress of the New Government Office Accommodation Project.
