Biography:

Mr. Solomon is serving his first term in the Legislative Assembly, having been elected in 2009 as the Fourth Elected Member for the district of George Town.

Mr. Solomon has 12 years of experience within Government, serving as technical support and procurement manager, including overseeing a staff of 17 in the Computer Services Department. He has done degree level studies in electronic engineering, business administration, financial management and labour economics, before chairing the infrastructure committee that drafted legislation to improve telecom pricing and services through competition. In 2001, he launched CayPolitics.com, an online news and political website to educate the public and provide a forum to discuss important issues. He later joined Rooster 101 FM in 2006, hosting a popular political talk show.

Mr. Solomon has always been a tireless worker in support of our communities, as he organizes an annual school supplies drive, has worked with young parenting programmes, serves as a member of the HSA for the Light House School, and is also involved in the Watler’s Road Community clean-ups.

Mr. Solomon is married to Betsy (nee Lazzari) and they are the proud parents of 3 daughters Samantha, Sydney and Shawn ages 21, 17 and 8 respectively. They attend church services regularly in George Town.
